Hey there! I’m Sandra.

I’m a branding and business strategist for modern entrepreneurs and business owners.

And I’m so glad you stopped by, because we’re a lot alike. We both want to make a successful career and life as entrepreneurs and business owners.

Which means that neither of us can fall behind with the latest marketing trends. We’ve got to stay up-to-date with the most effective methods to reach and engage our potential customers.

And we both know how hard it can be to market ourselves. We have to send the right message to the right people and be in the right place at the right time. Then we have to do it again. And again. And again.

What we really need are operations and systems to put our brands out there strategically. I’m all about designing those types of systems, the ones that move people from “know-like-trust” to “try-buy-refer”. Keep reading to find out how I got here, where I’m going and where I can take you.

Why Me?

I’m a writer, designer and marketer who lives and breathes small business.

I grew up in a family of business owners. You could say entrepreneurship and being my own boss has pretty much been in my blood since I was about 9 years old. Dinnertime back then was code for “Daily Status Meeting”. We’d sit around the table and brainstorm new ways to crush the competition and own the industrial vacuum space.

What I learned at that young age is that being your own boss means freedom and it’s fun. Being your own boss means wearing many hats, and for me that’s much more appealing than having one role at a company, especially when you have a vision for the bigger picture.

As your own boss, no one can put a limit on who you are, your potential, and how much you earn. That made a huge impression on me, from the time I was a little girl.

And my parents loved what they did. They were obsessed with it. Loved every minute of it and never ever considered working for anybody else.

That pretty much shaped the way I see the world. The idea that I could find something I love and stick with it, I could have the life I wanted to live. I could be my own boss, create my own schedule and decide how much I was going to earn.

My Small Business Journey

The Family Business
My father, mother, sister, brothers and I did just about everything from accounting, to local deliveries, sales, trade shows and marketing, design and anything that came up in between. You name it, I did it.

My first business – Branding & Marketing
After a short stint out of college working at an ad agency, I convinced my sister to be my partner-in-crime with our first company, which we called Phase 2 Design. I loved it. I had a chance to test my copywriting skills and created media kits, brochures and ad campaigns. Because we were a two-woman shop, I started designing the pieces as well. We were helping businesses tell their stories and I gobbled up every minute of it.

Second business – Design and Manufacturing
After that I got a little biker chick and co-founded a line of temporary tattoos. It was definitely a bit of culture shock. I can still remember going to tattoo conventions and meeting some very entertaining characters. The company turned out to be hugely successful and generate millions in revenue. After a few years I sold it to my partner because, well, I felt like it was time to move on.

Third business – Music Production
I spent some time studying music composition and songwriting, something I had wanted to do since I was a young girl. Songwriting gave me a chance to express myself in a new way, telling stories through lyrics and melody. I turned my music passion into a business by renting out my recording studio to local artists and bands.

After a while, though, I realized that telling stories through songwriting wasn’t my true calling.

Fourth (and current) business – Branding & Marketing
As an entrepreneur and business owner, my real passion is telling business stories. I made my way back to marketing and branding, and once I did everything started to feel right with the world again. It felt like coming home and I had rediscovered my “thing”.

That’s the space I’ve been in for the last 6 years, helping small businesses, entrepreneurs and startups tell their story and develop marketing systems to build awareness, get visibility and increase their customer base.

Here‘s what I’ve learned along the way:

Even though every business is different, the path to success looks the same.

  • People have to know you exist.
  • It’s much easier to market a product that fills an existing need rather than to create a need within the market.
  • Getting out of your head and inside the head of potential customers is the best way to clarify your value proposition.
  • Once you know what works, it’s a matter of creating automated systems so you can do it over and over again.
  • Everything you do must be driven by an underlying strategy.

Clients who seek out my help generally already have a website, social media presence, a blog and a monthly newsletter. Most have also tried running ad campaigns.

And yet they’re ready to toss their hands up in the air, because with all of this investment, they’re still not getting the traction they need for their businesses to flourish. They have no more clients and customers.

Systems and strategies are the keys to getting the results you need.

If you struggle with:

Finding your profitable niche…

Turning your blog into a full-time business for real…

Getting enough traffic to your blog…

Knowing what to do and in which order so you can prioritize your efforts…

Getting visibility so your business can flourish and grow…

Spending too much time on your biz with little return…

I can help you build the online business of your dreams

Everything I do is about helping small business owners like YOU implement marketing strategies that get results. My goal is to give you actionable steps and systems so that you can ditch the overwhelm and get more customers with less effort.
